Mapping, 3D Models & Survey Support
FlyThrough Visuals provides professional drone-based services supporting construction, engineering, infrastructure, property and asset-focused projects.
Drone-Based Mapping and 3D Survey Support
Aerial mapping and photogrammetry provide accurate, high resolution visual data that supports planning, design coordination, measurement and reporting across construction, engineering and infrastructure projects.
By capturing a site from above using structured flight planning and overlapping imagery, large areas can be documented quickly and consistently, producing outputs that offer significantly greater clarity than satellite imagery or adhoc site photography. This approach allows project teams to understand site layout, scale and context without relying solely on repeated ground based surveys.
Our Mapping Services
We support organisations responsible for the planning, construction, operation and management of physical assets, including:
Orthomosaic Mapping
Orthomosaic mapping produces a precise, top-down image of a site by stitching together hundreds of individual photographs into a single, geo-referenced map. These maps provide a true representation of site conditions at a specific point in time and are commonly used for planning, logistics, progress tracking and reporting throughout the lifecycle of a project.
3D Photogrammetry Models
Three-dimensional photogrammetry models allow sites, structures and terrain to be viewed from any angle. These models provide visual context that supports design coordination, feasibility assessment and stakeholder communication, particularly where site access may be restricted or where teams are working remotely.
Digital Surface Models (DSM)
Digital Surface Models represent the height and shape of visible site features, including terrain, structures, vegetation and stockpiles. DSM outputs can support further analysis such as contour mapping, surface comparison and volume calculation, helping teams better understand changes across a site over time.
Repeat Capture & Consistency
Where required, mapping flights can be repeated using consistent planning and capture parameters. This enables direct visual comparison between survey dates, creating a clear and reliable record of site change for progress monitoring, reporting and long-term documentation.

Deliverables and Outputs
Depending on project requirements, deliverables may include high-resolution orthomosaic maps, 3D photogrammetry models, Digital Surface Models, annotated imagery for reports and presentations, and repeat-capture datasets suitable for comparison over time.
Operational Approach
All mapping work is planned and delivered using structured workflows to ensure safe, compliant operation and consistent results. Flights are conducted under UK Civil Aviation Authority authorisation, with careful consideration given to site constraints, surrounding infrastructure and active operations. This service provides visual survey support and does not replace land surveying services unless explicitly specified.
If you require aerial mapping, 3D models or visual survey support for a project, we are happy to discuss requirements and advise on the most appropriate approach.
